Patient Care

Our staff are passionate about improving the lives of our patients. We have successfully treated over 40,000 people within New York City since our founding in 1969. In other words, we've been at this for a while and we know how to treat people the right way.

If you are looking here because you need help, because you have been addicted to heroin or any other opiate or substance for at least one year, and you are over 18, we hope you will take advantage of our medication-assisted treatment programs and services. The face of our nearly 4,000 active patients very much mirrors the communities in which we serve. They are 65% male and 35% female and roughly 41% African-American, 49% Hispanic, 9% Caucasian and 1% other.

To reach adolescents, we have increased our focus on preventative care to reduce recidivism and give young people every chance at a bright future. With juveniles as young as nine and up to 20 detained in New York City juvenile detention centers, there is a broad swath of care required to teach them how to manage their mental health symptoms, their behavior, their relationships and their ability to function academically, socially and recreationally.

Patients may pay with a fee-for-service or with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, Select Health and Amida Care. We also offer a sliding scale fee for those with no insurance and assistance applying for Medicaid. Check out our locations for the clinic closest to you.
