Taken as prescribed, methadone and Buprenorphine are effective in allowing patients to engage in productive activities and meet specific treatment objectives that constitute rehabilitation.
START’s medial team provides comprehensive medical evaluation and assessment for: opioid addiction, hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis, asthma, HIV counseling and testing, and pharmacotherapy.
Short term detoxification: Our Ancillary Withdrawal Management program is a short-term (21–180 day) detoxification program for patients addicted to opioids, including heroin and prescription painkillers. In addition, it also serves as an effective level of care for those persons who have use opiates for a short period of time and do not meet the criteria for long-term maintenance.
