START Gets Out in the Community for OCFS Resource and Information Day

START was happy to attend a recent Resource and Information Day put on by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services on the 8th!

The event, held in East Harlem, allowed community members and community resource professionals to come together and learn about all the services available to residents. We were able to make meaningful connections with a plenty of community members who could benefit, or know someone who could benefit, from our services. Likewise, we met with other professionals working to serve the East Harlem communitywith the hopes of creating mutually beneficial partnerships. In all, it was a very promising day!

Further, it marked the first event for our new Community Liaison, Jeremy Klachkin. He will continue to be out in the community every chance we get, educating the public about what we offer and why it matters, while creating meaningful partnerships with relevant organizations. We're excited to see his impact grow after such a successful first event!
