START to Host Community Film Night!
START to Host Community Film Night April 10!
On April 10th at 6:30 PM, START’s External Affairs team will be a hosting a community film night at the Clinton Hill branch of the Brooklyn Public Library!
In order to raise awareness in our communities, START will be screening the documentary Heroin(e). The film follows three women on the front lines of the Opioid Epidemic in a small West Virginia town hit hard by the crisis.
Following the screening, we will hear remarks from our CEO, Dr. Lawrence S. Brown, Jr., MD, MPH, DFASAM, and a patient representative, who will then stay for a brief Q&A session with community members. This portion of the event will be live-streamed via our Facebook account. We will also be serving light refreshments.
This is a great opportunity for our friends and family in the Brooklyn area to learn about what we do and why we do it! Please join us and help spread the word so that we can get as many guests as possible! As space is limited, anyone interested is asked to please RSVP via a free Eventbrite ticket at bit.ly/STARTFilm. This link can also be found on our social media accounts for easy sharing.
Thanks for your support in making this event a success!
